With 9000 lawsuits in the United States against Angus Fire's Sister Company "National Foam", Angus Fire is looking to address the situation in public here in the U.K.
Angus Fire is launching this public meeting on June 12th 2025 (1730 - 1930) to "quell concerns" to the public (in Bentham, but not inviting settlements from along the rivers Wenning and Lune that the firm has polluted).
Cleaner Bentham has put together a list of 39 questions (here) for the firm and agencies taking part in the meeting being held at Benthams Town Hall on 17th June 2025.
The Questions are taken from un-answered questions sent in by Mishcon de Reya to Paul Williams and Angus Fires Solicitors.
We willl update how many of these questions (some questions presented by the worlds leading experts on PFAS) will be answered.
Cleaner Bentham thinks this will be nothing more than a 'whitewashing' event and will ignore the most taxing questions which should make Angus Fire sweat like they've just entered a 'Backdraft'.
The Environment Agency and North Yorkshire Council have been invited to read and discuss Cleaner Benthams report into the pollution. While the Environment Agency have not responded, North Yorkshire Council have requested that we discuss this with Bentham Town Council.
We have written again to the Town Council inviting them to a meeting after being rejected three times. At the third hearing Councillors Marshall and Burton sang the praises of Angus Fire's reaction to the situation. (I kidd you not). One thing that may not be known outside of Bentham is that Councillor Marshall owns the Caravan Park that's polluted, which is situated alongside the River Wenning.
Update 11th June 2025
Bentham Town Council have accepted a meeting with Cleaner Bentham which will take place in early July 2025.
